The Open Networking Platform Technology Seminar is co-hosted by APJII, GCR and SSI as one of the programs of North Sumatra APJII for its members.

Global Channel Resources and Indonesian Internet Service Provider Association (APJII) are in cooperation committed to supporting the North Sumatra Provincial Government in the development of smart cities.

“Currently among the North Sumatra APJII members, there are 37 Internet service providers, and it is 400 among APJII members nationwide.” The existence of these Internet service providers will certainly be a good support for the development of smart city. “Smart city is a necessity and a trend, especially in the provincial capital,” said Bambang, Chairman of North Sumatra APJII. In addition, competition among Internet service providers is increasingly stringent and pressuring them to continuously innovate and collaborate with more solution vendors, which accelerates the speed of development of smart cities.

GCR (Global Channel Resources) – “A global sourcing company focusing itself on Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud service solutions with its B2B marketing and service platforms, has become a bridge for channel partners and innovative solution vendors in few prospective markets like Indonesia,” stated by GCR Indonesia Country Manager Andi Tanudiredja.

Smart city is a concept that combines many subsystems like smart education, smart buildings, smart factories, and smart transportation that directly led to public services. Members of APJII can easily find various IoT solutions to start a smart city project or incorporate with existing systems on GCR’s B2B e-commerce website.

“We are committed to working together alongside the government to accelerate business growth, while keeping abreast of the current times of the Internet of Things and Cloud Computing,” said Tanudiredja accompanied by GCR Business Development Manager Ernita Chen.

In addition to GCR’s commitment, Robert Tan – Commissioner of PT Sumatera Systems Integrasi (SSI), stated that SSI, as a professional system integrator, is ready to provide smart city deployment consulting, design and implementation services for the city governments prepared for it.

The Open Networking Platform Technology Seminar is co-hosted by APJII, GCR and SSI. It is one of the programs of North Sumatra APJII aiming to update the latest technology and trends in the Internet industry for its members.

“We expect this seminar to provide lots of benefits to all North Sumatra APJII members and for future planning of smart city implementation in North Sumatra,” said Tan.
